Common Name Evergreen honeysuckle. Fully hardy rarely encountered evergreen climber with handsome, glossy dark green leaves which are retained all year round. Chocolate purple-red flowers with beautiful yellow throats are produced from early summer through to early autumn. The flowers are followed by small purplish-black berries which are a favourite food for many birds.This honeysuckle also has the benefit of being able to grow in semi-shade or no shade and it thrives in moist soil.
